2004
Chef Woo’s journey began in Yonghyeon-dong, Incheon, where he opened a Korean chicken restaurant with his mother. Fueled by a passion for cooking for his friends, he managed this business while simultaneously balancing his language and culinary studies.
2008
After graduating from culinary school, Woo honed his skills over five years at prestigious establishments including Morimoto, Jean-Georges, Daniel, as well as Prime & Beyond. A two-year tenure at Goggan solidified his expertise in Korean fusion and high-quality ingredients.
2021
Birth of the Brand Leveraging his fine-dining background, Woo founded 'Team Bloom' to bring a new standard to the table. They opened 'Bloom,' a Korean-style fusion restaurant in Verona, NJ, and launched the very first 'Bloom Chicken' location in Hackensack, setting the stage for a new culinary movement.
2026
The vision has grown into a multi-state success story. Bloom Chicken has since expanded to Jersey City, Cliffside Park, and Upstate New York. With locations spreading across the East Coast, Team Bloom’s journey to success is only just beginning.
